Mercy Hospital (Auckland) was founded in 1908 by the Catholic Sisters of Mercy. It has undergone extensive renovations in its 100 year history and is now the largest private hospital in New Zealand. It has seven operating rooms and 155 beds, an intensive care unit, high dependency unit and coronary care unit.
All cardiothoracic surgery takes place at Mercy Hospital (Auckland), with the involvement of leading cardiologists in all cardiac surgical care.
